The local sales and service office is run by Howard Potter. Howard has been in the laser business since 1999 when he started as the UK Business Manager for Spectra-Physics. Since that time he has worked closely with customers developing long term relationships with all the leading academics and with a number of specialised laser manufactures.In 2004 Howard was asked to set up the local sales and service office for Toptica Photonics (Diode lasers). At the same time, High Finesse (wavelength meters) suggested that by sharing the office with Toptica UK, and also going direct in to the UK would offer a more favourable pricing structure rather than going through a distributor chain. This has been extremely successful with customers having the benefit of local service with lower pricing, and has resulted in Toptica and High Finesse becoming established brands in the UK and Ireland.
At the end of 2006 Time Bandwidth Products (Ultra-fast ps and fs lasers) also moved in to operate directly out of the same shared office. In order to cope with this increased work load, the office has been expanded with additional sales staff and administration to provide the best possible sales and support for all the customers.
